As part of the transformation of the historic American Car & Foundry area into a vibrant riverfront destination, a new section of Main Street will be created. Extending the current Main Street northward to intersect with 2nd Street, this expansion will serve as a vital connection between the Frenchtown and Historic Downtown neighborhoods. More than just a roadway, the new Main Street extension will revitalize the ACF District by improving access, linking all buildings within the area, and establishing key pathways for retail and residential growth. By enhancing connectivity and walkability, this development will set the stage for a thriving, dynamic community. #JEMA #Architecture #StCharles #MainStreetStCharles https://lnkd.in/gt7w4f_J

The JEMA team finally gathered for our much-anticipated New Year party (after weather delays pushed back our original celebration). Though the winter storm may have postponed the festivities, it certainly didn’t dampen our spirit! The evening was filled with great food, laughter, conversation, and well-deserved toasts to another year of creativity, collaboration, and bringing joy to our clients and community. #JEMA #HolidayParty #NewYearSameUs https://lnkd.in/gEJTty4W

JEMA’s design for the St. Charles City Centre Complex is a transformative project that reimagines the historic ACF District. Scheduled to begin construction in March 2025, the complex will integrate a variety of civic, cultural, and community spaces, including a Senior Center, Recreation Center, arts and culture spaces, event facilities, retail, and structured parking—all connected by a new Main Street. At the heart of the complex, a thoughtfully designed pocket park will provide a welcoming green space between City Hall and the Recreation/Senior Center. This park will serve as a vibrant gathering spot, offering shaded seating, walking paths, and landscaped areas that enhance connectivity between the civic buildings. Designed to foster community engagement, the park will create a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces, encouraging social interaction and relaxation in the heart of the city. #JEMA #Architecture #StCharlesMO https://lnkd.in/gwnHkKAS
