?? Last night, we witnessed something truly special: people coming together not out of obligation, but from a genuine desire to support and uplift our community. ?? A huge thank you to everyone who joined us—community leads, members, facilitators, organizers, and supporters. Events like these wouldn’t be possible without you! In June, we united three product communities. Yesterday, we took it further with Tech Communities Unite!—a collaboration between Jovial and Jellyfish ( ?? Jules, Luke), bringing together eight incredible organizations spanning design, engineering, and product: ?? AIGA Boston ?? UXPA Boston ?? Boston Code and Coffee ?? AIPMM The Association of International Product Marketing and Management ?? Boston Product Management Association (BPMA) ?? Mind the Product ProductTank Boston ?? Underscore VC Product Core ?? Women In Product Boston Attendees explored these amazing communities and joined facilitated small-group conversations, sparking meaningful connections. The energy, engagement, and joy in the room were inspiring! Special thanks to Industrious (Amika, Tamara, Megan) for hosting us in their stunning new South Station space! ?? Copilot hot data flash! - We all know AI is table stakes at this point, but seeing quantitive impact particularly for copilots is still harder than it should be to show. Here’s what Jellyfish's Q3 data tells us: Adoption Levels Remain Low: Fewer than 30% of companies have fully embraced Copilot, showing limited growth this quarter despite earlier signals. Consistent Usage Among Adopters: For companies that have rolled it out, usage is steady, with engineers actively engaging Copilot 46% - on a daily basis. Notable Productivity Gains: A 12.6% drop in cycle time highlights Copilot’s potential to accelerate workflows and improve team efficiency. While it’s clear there’s across the board investment and adoption, there's a lot more work for all of us to do. Engineering Leader ? Leadership & Career Growth Coach ? Ex-Google, Ex-Uber.

Too many engineering leaders think AI will magically fix all operational inefficiencies. But without tracking real data, it’s all guesswork. Instead, they should aim to understand: - How many engineers are using an AI copilot? - Are they faster or more productive? - Is the code better, or is that speed coming at the expense of quality? That's why I partnered with Jellyfish which in 2024 introduced the Copilot Dashboard: to measure the impact of the most widely adopted genAI coding tool: GitHub Copilot. They’ve since gathered data from over 4,200 developers at more than 200 companies and summarized the findings in the report below. Download it now if you’re an engineering leader wanting to understand whether you're getting adequate returns on your AI investments. Share it with your leadership team, if you think this could help! https://lnkd.in/ghmyEQWv
