Today, we celebrated the grand opening of the St. Joan of Arc Center at Archbishop Chapelle High School with a ribbon cutting ceremony! The ARC (Academics, Research, & Collaboration) Center is focused on the modern-day student, and the space houses a wide array of engaging areas including a maker space, robotics room, media center, private study pods, and a virtual reality room. #JeffersonChamber #RibbonCutting

Yesterday, we gathered at Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission (JEDCO) for our monthly Board of Directors meeting! We kicked off the session with remarks from Jerry Bologna, President and CEO of JEDCO. We were also honored to have guest speakers Joe Toomy and Todd Murphy, commissioners from the Port of New Orleans, to discuss current initiatives and the vital economic impact the port has on our region. Yesterday, we celebrated the grand opening of BARCAR in Old Metairie with a ribbon-cutting ceremony! BARCAR pays homage to the building's history as a train depot, located at the base of the railroad tracks that stretch between Metairie Road and the Jefferson/Orleans Parish Line. Its name refers to a train car with a bar for passengers and represents the social phenomenon of bridging the gap between work and home. It served as a space for individuals to unwind during their train journey, providing a break between the two most important parts of their lives. Visit them soon for food and cocktails!
