Last Saturday, 24 Jefferies colleagues took on the world-renowned HYROX fitness competition in Hong Kong. Competing in teams of four, they participated in the Corporate Relay. Jefferies is pleased to have served as Lead Financial Advisor to Mubadala Capital on its all-cash offer to privatize CI Financial Corp. valued at approximately US$8.6 billion (CAD $12.1 billion). The transaction provides CI Financial Corp., a diversified global asset and wealth management company based in Canada and the U.S., with long-term, stable capital to support the continued execution of its strategy. This transaction demonstrates the strength of our Financial Institutions Group, together with our public company M&A capabilities in Canada. As further evidence of our progress in Canadian Financial Services, this transaction is our second announced large public M&A transaction in the past 6 months.
