Workplace trends for 2024. What does it look like? Forecasting in the HR world: The Hot Topic (one of many) today and in webinars/conferences over the last few months. There will be a new breed of manager in the workplace for the New year! The Compassionate Leader as the role is being called. Middle Managers will be the MVP's of 2024 with possibly instituting wellness initiatives, transitioning somewhat to less task-oriented overseers, to guardians of the employee's well-being, their assurance that the organization they work for supports a meaningful work-life balance. Actually, embracing this balance is in the forefront in the HR community. Flexible scheduling and the acceptance of a hybrid work environment is and has created a shift in productivity, proving that work can and does continue outside the brick and mortar of a traditional office setting. The concept for HR professionals for 2024 is to recognize that the rigidity of separation between personal and professional lives is slowly fading. Fostering even more of an open communication is key. Today, companies, in this post covid world are adapting to their employees needs for flexibility, and understanding being able to accommodate their employees' personal responsibilities is not just a perk anymore, but a now essential part of acquiring and retaining workers.
