Steve “Swap” Nolan of Air Mobility Command, during the Airlift/Tanker Association (A/TA) Convention and Symposium, held recently in Grapevine, Texas.?Nolan served as an operations planner with the JPSE from June 2022 to June 2024.? Airlift Tanker Association Engagement The Airlift/Tanker Association (A/TA) Convention is an essential investment for planning professionals at the Joint Planning Support Element, giving us the unique opportunity to strengthen our mission effectiveness and joint warfighting capabilities through collaboration and connection. One of the most impactful aspects of A/TA is the chance to reconnect with former JECC teammates who have moved into new roles across the Air Force community. These individuals, who once stood beside us in planning and execution, are now allies and trusted resources, providing invaluable insights and support for future missions and command endeavors. Additionally, A/TA offers us deeper insights into the new U.S. Transportation Command (TRANSCOM) commander’s intent, enriching our understanding of strategic objectives and aligning our communications to better support the broader goals of the mobility and joint warfighter communities. Staying attuned to leadership’s vision empowers us to be more responsive and effective in our roles. Networking with AMC teammates, former JECC colleagues, and other leaders across the mobility enterprise allows us to share best practices, build relationships, and exchange innovative ideas. Together, we are strengthening the bonds that make our force adaptable, mission-ready, and aligned with the commander’s priorities. #MakeItMatter # TogetherWeDeliver #TheJECCIsHere #AMC #TRANSCOM #JointWarfighter #AirForceCommunity #PublicAffairs #ATAStrong

  • What does it take to bring the features of a modern office building to a fortified warehouse built during the Second World War, while maintaining and even upgrading its logistical capabilities? The Joint Enabling Capabilities Command (JECC) Chief of Logistics, Mr. Tony Skinner, discusses the ongoing effort to modernize and diversify the spaces within Naval Station Norfolk’s Building X-132, which serves as both the headquarters of the command and the base of the majority of its logistical operations, with Air Force Gen. Randall Reed—making his first visit as U.S. Transportation Command commander—and Chief Master Sgt. Brian Kruzelnick, the command senior enlisted leader. Gen. Reed also learned more about the broad array of operations, mission partners, and initiatives going on at the JECC from its Commander, Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Michael McWilliams.?He also visited the Defense Courier Station Norfolk, as well as the Military Sealift Command, another two of the U.S. Transportation Command’s diverse portfolio of subordinate commands.????
