Over the course of Monday 10-14-2024 to Thursday 10-24-2024, James D. Morrissey Inc. and Clearwater Construction, Inc successfully completed the beam erection for the replacement of Bridge No. DB– 241 for the D30 Turnpike project in Bucks County. With the help of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and Pennsylvania State Police, James D. Morrissey Inc. and Clearwater Construction were able to safely coordinate traffic control & crane operations to install 32 beams over 8 total spans along the eastbound and westbound side of the PA Turnpike over Newportville Road and Neshaminy Creek James D. Morrissey Inc. and Clearwater Construction worked extended hours into the nights for the completion of the beam erections in anticipation of bridge deck placement coming in Spring 2025. #bridge #cranelife #construction #heavyhighwayconstruction #bridgebeams #constructionlife

Bucks County, Route 1 emergency work. Tuesday 5-29-2024 James D. Morrissey Inc. was called out by PennDOT to fix an eroded and collapsed shoulder of Route 1 near Woodbourne Road. Our crews were mobilized on Tuesday 5-29-2024, 80ft of 18” HDPE Reestablishing 120ft of existing swale and rock lining with R-4 Reestablishing existing slope with topsoil, seed, and matting Used Multiple loads of concrete mixed with R-4 and R-6 to rebuild eroded slope Re-bundled and protected existing fiber optic line that was eroded Poured 13 yards of flowable fill as road base Place 25mm blacktop for roadway base Placing 9.5mm for top coat of roadway Rebuilt existing guiderail Friday 5-31-2024 road was reopened, JDM Materials Company and Eureka Stone Quarry, Inc. did whatever it took to help get it done !!
