?? Employee Spotlight! ?? Meet Jason Presley, our Assembly Mechanic and Safety Manager at the Montgomery Service Division! Jason joined Jay Industrial Repair 4 years ago, thanks to an employee referral (we love when our team grows through referrals!). Before coming to Jay, Jason owned his own business as a Highway Contract Route (HCR) supplier for the United States Postal Service. His company delivered mail daily to the Post Offices that were in his contract. In his role, Jason ensures our workplace is safe, compliant, and hazard-free, embodying the strong safety culture we prioritize here at Jay Industrial Repair. Fun facts about Jason: as a kid, he dreamed of being a police officer, but his first job was with a logging company. Outside of work, he spends quality time with his two kids, enjoys bass fishing and turkey hunting, and is President of the Isabella Youth Football League. Our Mobile Service Division will be inspecting and reconditioning these 1500 HP motors that came to us from a pipeline company. Our team will also be tackling major hood repairs due to rust. Once done, 2 motors will be aligned and 2 will head into storage at our Mobile location. Update from one of our top salesman in all of Jay Industrial.

Jay Industrial Repair, Inc. successfully completed a Major Inspection on a 30 MW General Electric Frame 5 turbo generator powered by an LM2500 gas turbine. The unforeseen outage stemmed from a line trip caused by a sudden loss of output voltage. Our dedicated field crew identified a catastrophic failure in the rotating field and swiftly executed a rewind after a rings off inspection at our Birmingham facility. Following 4 weeks of meticulous repairs and balancing, our client resumed power and steam production. Our skilled team at Jay Industrial Repair managed a seamless turnkey removal, rebuild, and installation, leveraging our proficient in-house TDs, field crew, engineers, and winding technicians. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our entire team for their exceptional performance and unwavering dedication. Thank you for your hard work!

The final of four updates on jobs just completed at Precision Coil and Rotor. Precision, a division of Jay Industrial Repair, has successfully repaired a 1000 HP 300/900 RPM electric motor. The work scope included a FIELD FRAME REWIND, with detailed tasks such as rewinding main fields, reinsulating pole face bars, reinsulating interploes, connecting the frame, installing gang connections, and performing electrical tests. Precision Coil and Rotor is a leading U.S. industrial service company specializing in manufacturing and rebuilding component products for rotating electrical machines up to 13.8 kV. Their core expertise lies in form coil manufacturing and associated services for both AC and DC electric motors and generators. Check out the final images of the repaired field frame below. Precision Coil and Rotor successfully completed the repair of a Toshiba-Mitsubishi synchronous motor powering a pump at a gas plant. The motor boasts 7000KW power and operates at 1800 RPM. The detailed workscope involved various tasks, such as removing pole caps, cleaning and reinsulating rotor coils, reinstalling coils with new hardware, and rewinding the exciter.
