Javerbaum Wurgaft Partner Stephen Hehl recently represented Visions and Pathways, a non-profit corporation, before the Bridgewater Township Zoning Board. Visions and Pathways provides group homes and other housing. With funding from Somerset County and other sources, the project in question was a 10-unit affordable apartment building in Bridgewater, NJ, for young adults transitioning out of foster care. Fred Rabinowitz Joins Javerbaum Wurgaft as Of Counsel Javerbaum Wurgaft is pleased to announce that Fred Rabinowitz has joined the Firm as Of Counsel effective April 1, 2025. Mr. Rabinowitz began his career with Essex County Legal Services in 1978 before deciding to vigorously represent the injured. For the past 47 years he has litigated motor vehicle accidents, product liability, premises liability and workers’ compensation cases. From 2015-2018 he served on the Fee Arbitration Committee for District IIA, in Bergen County. He also previously served as an arbitrator for the Law Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey in Passaic County. Mr. Rabinowitz received his B.A. from the University of Cincinnati and his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law. He is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association and the New Jersey Association of Justice.

Congratulations to Eric Kahn, Managing Shareholder of Javerbaum Wurgaft, for being selected for inclusion in the 2025 New Jersey Super Lawyers Top 100 list.* This represents the lawyers who received the highest point totals in the New Jersey nomination, research and blue ribbon review process. Mr. Kahn is a Certified Civil Trial Attorney, Past President of the New Jersey Association for Justice, Past President and current National Board Representative of the North Jersey Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, past President of the Union County Bar Association, a member of the International Society of Barrister, and a recently inducted Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Notably, Mr. Kahn represented five construction workers in a lawsuit against a co-worker who cheated them out of their share of a Mega Millions Lottery jackpot, and obtained a $20 million dollar jury verdict in their favor. He also represented a high school student who was assaulted in school by another student and severely injured, and obtained a $16 million jury verdict in his favor. He was also involved in defending Molly Wei, one of the Rutgers students charged with invasion of privacy in the Tyler Clementi case, in defense of the criminal charges brought against her. More recently, he was involved in a settlement for multiple victims of childhood sexual abuse of over $34 million dollars, and a settlement for a motor vehicle accident against the United States Postal Service for $4,900,000.
