?? Liver Tissue Chip for DDI Induction Studies??? Traditional in vitro models often fall short in assessing both perpetrator and victim drugs due to rapid loss of metabolic function or convolution from non-human cells. In our latest manuscript, we demonstrate the utility of the Javelin Liver Tissue Chip as a robust tool for pre-clinical DDI Induction Studies. Javelin’s unique all-human in vitro system with continuous recirculation maintains long-term functionality and metabolic activity for up to 4 weeks, enabling the study of perpetrator and victim drug pharmacokinetics, quantification of drug-induced CYP mRNA and activity levels, investigation of patient variability, and ultimately clinical predictions.
