Our core mission is to build, strengthen & mobilize women’s collective power for a just & sustainable world for all.

关于我们

JASS is a feminist movement support organization dedicated to building the voice, visibility, and collective power of women for a just and sustainable world for all. We equip and strengthen the leadership and organizing capacity of women leaders and their organizations and networks in Mesoamerica, Southeast Asia, and Southern Africa. WHAT JASS strengthens and mobilizes the voice, visibility and collective power of women to advance rights and end violence. We train and support activist leaders linked to women’s organizing on diverse justice issues from sexuality, HIV and land rights to protections for human rights defenders. WHY The unfulfilled promise of women’s equality cannot be realized without mobilizing the power of women’s voices, knowledge and numbers for sustained pressure and influence on policies, institutions and social norms. With growing backlash and violence today, organizing women is also about protecting activists and their organizations. HOW JASS’ holistic movement-building strategies work to train and support activist leaders, promote grassroots organizing, and build and mobilize broad alliances to respond to urgent problems, and opportunities for strategic influence of powerful institutions; we amplify women’s voices, agendas and media outreach, and we document our efforts to generate important analysis, how-tos and knowledge directly from action.

  • #CSW69 ?? Thirty years after the #Beijing Conference, feminist movements are still confronting the forces that seek to silence, divide, and erase us. Yesterday, feminst activists gathered to reflect on what has changed, what remains the same, and how we must organize in this moment of intensifying backlash. ??? Here are some powerful takeaways from yesterday's conversation ???? ?? Feminist activists continue to face barriers to participation -visa restrictions, travel discrimination, and geopolitics limit access to spaces of influence.? ???The rise of right-wing and anti-gender movements fuels division, policing our bodies and voices. Militarization within UN spaces raises urgent questions: Who is being protected, and from whom? ?? Despite these challenges, feminist resistance is alive. We sustain ourselves through collective energy, cross-movement organizing, and the deep belief in our struggle. ???To reclaim power, we must dismantle silos and build radical solidarity across feminist, labor, land, climate, and peace movements. ???Securing control over our own resources is critical. Our agendas must be shaped by our movements, not dictated by external forces. #JustPower Gender at Work Count Me In! (CMI!)Association for Women's Rights in Development (AWID)

  • Everjoice Win 'EJ' - our sister, comrade, mentor, and friend. A fierce feminist whose fire, love, and wisdom shaped JASS and the world. ??? She led us all with fearless conviction, deep joy, and boundless generosity. She always challenged us to be bolder, to fight harder, and to always center love in the struggle. We are forever grateful for her wisdom, laughter, and revolutionary spirit. Rest and rise in power, EJ. Your light will never fade. ??
