Last weekend, JT's Director of Digital Strategies, Morgan McDonough, attended the National Scholastic Press Association’s annual conference to launch the Fred Ross Systemic Journalism Competition alongside our client The Foundation for Systemic Change (FSC). ?? The Fred Ross Student Journalism Competition invites high school journalists to report on systemic change efforts within their communities, focusing on impactful, solution-oriented coverage of pressing issues like voting rights, climate change, food insecurity and more. ????. Morgan and FSC founder John Heffernan also had the opportunity to give a workshop to high school journalists as part of the conference. JT’s Mary and James were honored to celebrate our long-time client and dear friend, Jim Haptonstahl, at a house-naming in his honor in Oak Park. Jim has dedicated his career to supporting people with disabilities through decades of work at UCP Seguin of Greater Chicago and running the They Deserve More campaign for several years—fighting for and winning more state funding to support people with disabilities in the community. The Haptonstahl House is home to three men living in the community with round-the-clock support. Congratulations Jim!!! ??
