We are thrilled to unveil LunaSol & Fernando’s Tequila Bar, the two newest additions to The 'Quin House in Boston. Designed by the visionary Ken Fulk and brought to life with the expertise of Boston Urban as the architect of record & Matthias Kiehm as the Quin House’s Managing Director, this project was a true collaboration of talent, craftsmanship, and creativity. ? Bringing these extraordinary spaces to life came with its challenges. Performing major construction inside an active, fully operational private club complete with restaurants, bars, and hotel rooms required careful coordination. Achieving the stunning ceiling heights called for significant temporary shoring and the installation of new steel beams. Additionally, we worked closely with specialty vendors from across the country to coordinate the delivery and installation of intricate custom millwork, metal work and other high-end finishes. ? The finished spaces showcase an incredible array of artistic contributions. Deborah Phillips (Murals by Deborah) and her team hand-painted a breathtaking full-room mural in the Central Dining Room, featuring free-hand depictions of exotic parrots. Venetian plaster throughout both spaces was expertly installed by Mark Grundig and Tommy Colleran, while Kenji Nakayama and his team from Needs Signs Will Paint?created intricate hand-painted designs on the coffered ceiling beams. Custom wrought iron gates were masterfully crafted by David DeSantis, and the grand plaster fireplace surrounds were handmade by Palladio Mouldings Inc. before being brought to life with vibrant color washing by Richard Smith Studios. The exceptional millwork was fabricated by Mystic Scenic Studios, Inc., Inc. with additional contributions from Jeremiah Sullivan (JD Sullivan Builders), Branco Perego (Nationwide Tile) and Granite Arts, Inc. Every detail in these spaces was custom designed by Ken Fulk’s gifted team, making this project truly one of a kind. We are incredibly proud to have played a role in bringing these stunning spaces to life. The craftsmanship, attention to detail, and artistry behind LunaSol and Fernando’s Tequila Bar are second to none. With natural oak wood, velvet seating and hand-crafted brass lighting, the ambiance is elegant, warm, and intimate.
