Each year on the first day of Oktoberfest Augustiner-Br?u Wagner KG gather all colleagues and their families together for a traditional Bavarian breakfast of Wei?wurst and Brezel, before watching the horse drawn carts leave for their parade to the famous Wiesn. This year the Clay family were invited to join, along with some of our team, in celebration of our new partnership. Once at the famous Augustiner Festhalle, everyone eagerly awaited the sound of rifles from the Bavaria statue after the Mayor's cry of 'O Zapft is!', before being furnished with some of the first Ma? to be poured this year. As sunset fell, the opportunity arose to climb the six flights of wooden stairs up the iconic Augustiner tower, for a truly unique view across Oktoberfest. The Clay family thank everyone at the brewery for their warm welcome, and look forward to many more generations celebrating together.

One of the most special weekends of the year has just whizzed past. Some of our team were out in Belgium last week for the Belgian family brewers Belgian Beer Weekend. An event truly like no other. Hundreds of Belgian beers to choose from, served in the correct glassware, by the people behind the brands, in the inimitable setting of the Grand Place in Brussels. While over there we got in to see a number of our friends' breweries across the country too. Walking amongst the hallowed foeders of Brouwerij Rodenbach More of our team joined the famous ranks of the Brotherhood of the Pink Elephant at Huyghe Brewery We took lunch overlooking the hop fields Brewery St.Bernardus (with a few glasses of Extra 4 of course) It was a true pleasure to meet Morgane, the next generation of Verhaeghe family to run Verhaeghe Brewery and wander through such a special brewery together. Seeing the spectacular Kasteel Brouwerij Vanhonsebrouck the home of Kasteel and Bacchus was incredible, truly one of the most technologically advanced breweries in Europe. We were thankful to make it to Brouwerij De Halve Maan for dinner, joining export colleagues around the world for some exquisite Bruges Zot. Enjoying some of Bruges iconic bars afterwards.

Oktoberfest is one of the most exciting times of the year for all of us, but this year is extra special, as we've just taken delivery of an entire truckload of Augustiner-Br?u Wagner KG Oktoberfest Bier. Get those walking shoes on! Today we start the brilliant Business Beats Cancer Yorkshire Million Step Challenge which is taking place throughout September across #Yorkshire! We're delighted and thankful to have more than 100 people from across the business community taking part in this exciting new initiative to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK (CRUK) here in Yorkshire! It has been established as a fun and healthy challenge for all those taking part. Teams of up around five are aiming to take a collective one million steps - the equivalent of 500 miles in total - over the next month. All money raised through sponsorship will be donated to the world’s largest cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research, influence and information, for its work directly in the Yorkshire region. About the challenge: ?? Each team is being encouraged to reach a fundraising target of ￡2,024, marking the year 2024. ??♀? Walking (and other types of exercise!) has many health benefits and encourages active lifestyles and wellbeing. ?? If teams get to one million steps then well done!
