This past May, in honor of Melanoma Awareness Month, we launched our “Melanoma Monday” Instagram campaign to spread vital information about melanoma. Our efforts to raise awareness and share information about melanoma will continue on the Jam for Cam Instagram account. Spreading awareness remains at the heart of our mission. Additionally, our executive and leadership boards kicked off the month by getting their skin checked at GEORGIA SKIN CANCER & AESTHETIC DERMATOLOGY , highlighting the importance of routine skin checks. We encourage everyone to prioritize their health by scheduling regular skin examinations. Stay informed, stay healthy!
关于我们
Jam for Cam is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) that was founded in 2018 by a group of UGA students to honor their late friend, Cameron Fearon. It raises money through an annual concert held in the musical capital of the South, Athens, GA. Since inception, JFC has raised over $850,000 benefitting Melanoma Research Foundation, Camp Carolina, and an annual rotating charity. JFC has quickly evolved and cemented itself as an Athens staple, drawing in students and families across the Southeast. Our sole mission is to raise awareness for Melanoma research through community and music. In the past, Jam for Cam has hosted acts such as Uncle Kracker, Eli Young Band, The Vegabonds, Ripe, and The Main Squeeze.

As things start up again, we’d like to take a moment to recap last year’s music festival! Jam for Cam was held on November 10th, 2023. We raised roughly $286,000 and had over 5,000 attendees, making for a record-breaking year. Our lineup was incredible - featuring Eli Young Band, Uncle Kracker, The Vegabonds, AFTM, and Grace Asbury. Every year, our efforts benefit melanoma research through the Melanoma Research Foundation and scholarship funds for kids to attend Camp Carolina, Cameron Fearon’s childhood camp. Additionally, we select a third charity to donate to on a year-to-year basis. This past year we chose the Sam Asbury Foundation, an organization whose mission is “to create awareness and promote prevention related to suicide and depression and provide hope to those affected by it.” (https://lnkd.in/ghddSKi8) We cannot thank Southern Brewing Company, our sponsors, and the Athens community enough. Spreading Community, Awareness, and Music with y’all is always a great time! As we head into 2024, we plan to keep this momentum going. It’s going to be a great year; big things are coming! Jam On!
