JAM Special Opportunity Ventures (JSOV), an affiliate of JSOV-M, is a member of the general partnerships of JAM FINTOP investment funds. The JAM FINTOP Network refers to the underlying limited partners in the JAM FINTOP investment funds, as well as entities that have joined the Network on a fee-based basis. A survey of the JAM FINTOP Faster Payments Working Group highlighted the following concerns/opportunities for instant payments. They can be summarized with one word -- FRAUD: -60% of banks said their clients need fraud controls so that they feel there's less risk in using instant payments -70% of banks said they need to update internal fraud systems before enabling instant payment Send capability -Areas the Fed should prioritize: network fraud controls, account ownership checking and checks to see if a recipient's bank has Request for Payment enabled -Top use cases: last-minute bill payment, payroll and Request for Payment
