We are excited to announce the return of Stephanie Jolipa as Director of Marketing at Jahn. In this role, she will work closely with our teams to creatively and strategically share our dynamic portfolio with a global audience, while supporting the firm’s continued growth and evolution. Having worked alongside Helmut from 2012-2016, she was instrumental in the firm’s rebranding from Murphy/Jahn to JAHN. In her new role, she looks forward to applying her deep knowledge of the firm’s portfolio through the lens of the current brand. We’re thrilled to have Stephanie rejoin the team as we continue to expand our creative and strategic presence worldwide.

This year celebrates the 40-year anniversary of the James R. Thompson Center! To mark this milestone, we’re diving into our archives to share sketches and photos from the building’s early days. When it opened in 1985, visitors were captivated by the expansive, circular rotunda—72 feet in diameter—and the intricate terrazzo floor below. The complex geometric pattern reflected the skylight above, creating a striking visual connection between the atrium and concourse. Our work is always inspired by our past projects and as the architects behind the current renovation, it is always inspiring to revisit these images that showcase our firm’s passion for honoring this iconic space.

As the office environment, tools, and documents have evolved over the decades, it is still essential to have support to manage the architectural process. Non-architect support staff play a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly, ensuring that projects progress seamlessly from conception to completion. In this spirit, we are pleased to announce that Grace Faoro has joined Jahn as executive studio administrator. In this new role for our firm, she will provide vital support across the studio, assisting with project coordination, organization, and leadership support. Grace brings extensive experience to Jahn, having served as a project manager and administrator at Chicago architecture firms. An active member of the Chicago architecture community, she volunteers as a docent at two National Historic Landmark buildings. Her passion for twentieth-century history and architecture extends to her studies and research in both English and German, drawing on her experiences living and working in Austria and Germany. Welcome to the team, Grace!
