This week's #BeyondHomesBreakfast, presented by Abode Communities was enlightening, informative and delicious! JAG was proud to sponsor the event, which featured inspirational speakers, and topics that focused on equity. A nonprofit social enterprise that has been rooted in community development throughout California since 1968, Abode envisions "vibrant communities that strengthen neighborhoods, enhance livelihoods, respond to the environment, and connect people and places." More than an affordable housing provider, their work "fosters a culture of housing inclusion by integrating families and individuals with neighborhoods, so communities at-large can thrive." Major props to Abode for the event — as well as their incredible contributions in promoting the social, economic, and physical transformation of underserved communities!

JAG is very proud to sponsor the 45th Anniversary dinner for Many Mansions tonight. This innovative and inventive company got its start in 1979 as a rental assistance program. Today, they provide permanent affordable rental housing to 1,900 residents (including 450 children), across twenty-one communities. By January, 2025, those numbers are expected to rise to 2,300 residents across twenty-four communities! Their blueprint of success — pairing housing with free on-site services — has resulted in 95% of residents remaining stably housed and 90% of resident youth graduating from high school. Services include after-school tutoring, easy access to food pantries, and Case Managers who help ease the transition out of poverty and homelessness. The JAG team spent last Thursday listening to fascinating speakers, giving away prizes, and networking with our favorite colleagues at #SCANPH! ???? What better way to commemorate #WorldHomelessDay than by celebrating Affordable and Supportive Housing communities from visionary developers,?raising awareness about resources for those in need, and advocating for improved policies and funding that can help end #homelessness.
