11 years ago, freshly passed the CFP exam with no experience, on the verge of moving with my husband to his second overseas posting, I was frantically looking for resources to help me start working in financial planning.
Thanks to Marcio Silveira, CFA?, CFP? ‘s willingness and flexibility to take a chance on me, and Michael Kitces connecting me to financial advisers in the country I was going to, I am still in this industry, 11 years later.
Since then, I’ve had to navigate working with clients and running an advisory firm from multiple countries. Many advisers heard about my story and told me later it opens their eyes to what’s possible.
On Friday, July 19, XYPN members will get a chance to hear about not just an encouraging story, but all the hard work and process behind how to make my work fit into my globally mobile life, not the other way around.
My co-presenter, Arielle Tucker Certified Financial Planner?, EA, was able to do the same for her work life, but with a vastly different experience. You’ll get to hear about what we discovered was the common process we went through to make it work for us.
Even if spending time overseas is not for you, you may be able to make your staff's dream come true!
Not a XYPN member or a US adviser? No problem. On July 24, we are discussing the same topic from a country-independent point of view. Other The CIGA Network members whose primary jurisdiction is not in the US will also be there. This will make a fascinating discussion! Register here: https://lnkd.in/ebuAE6je
