The Jacobson team is proud to support Chef Lena and Lena's Foundation, which provides essential, healthy food to survivors of domestic abuse, natural disasters, mental health crises, and other critical life-changing circumstances. Our own Steven Brown is on the board of directors and is an active volunteer helping Lena and team whenever needed. After immigrating from Vietnam, Chef Lena mastered her craft in Houston's top restaurants before launching Lena's Asian Kitchen, now known for its fresh Asian cuisine and citywide catering. Her business uniquely empowers domestic abuse survivors through employment, while her Foundation extends her longtime commitment to helping others in need. "Our mission is to break the silence around domestic abuse. Survivors should be supported not shamed," Chef Lena shared. She wants survivors to know they are not alone and they are capable of great things. Lena's Foundation kicked things off with a fundraiser to increase awareness, recruit volunteers and raise funds so Chef Lena can provide her healthy and delicious food to as many people as possible.
