Turkey fryers can potentially be extremely harmful. The National Fire Protection Association advises against frying turkeys and promotes only using fryers that do not use oil. The high oil temperatures used can cause devastating burns and house fires. The NFPA and CPSC joined together in this live burn video to show just how dangerous turkey fryers can be. It is National Fraud Awareness Week! The term fraud encompasses actions that are meant to deceive for financial or personal gain. But why should we care about fraud? Fraud causes billions of dollars in damage to companies, governments and individuals each year. Additionally, fraud can dramatically affect the quality of life of its victims — and the employees of its victims — resulting in job losses, the loss of savings and investments, and a significant strain on resources. Insurance fraud – ranging from staged accidents, to intentional property damage & falsified claims. You see news stories everyday about people committing insurance fraud. In fact, insurance industry estimates indicate that 10 percent or more of property-casualty insurance claims may be fraudulent. Fraud is the second most costly white-collar crime in America after tax evasion. These crimes add up to billions of dollars in fraudulent insurance claims every year. Even if you haven’t suffered a direct loss, you are still a victim of insurance fraud and vehicle theft. Not only does fraud cause higher insurance premiums for all of us, but it also raises our taxes and inflates prices for consumer goods. Insurance fraud has very real consequences and affects everyone, which means we all have a role to play in tackling this problem. If you suspect fraud, report it here. https://lnkd.in/e9Aat4w To read more about Fraud Awareness Week, visit: https://lnkd.in/e7vXUxTm Visit www.Jackwardfire.com 866-559-3473 [email protected]
