My passion for increasing employee engagement, which then leads to company goals being exceeded, came from real life experience. I collaboratively led employee development and engagement initiatives that reduced full-time employee turnover by 36% in one year in the snow industry. My hope is to see this spread across the snow, landscape and facilities management industries. Where my passion for Jack of All People Trades came from, A Comeback Story This passion came from my time in the Snow Industry from 2019-2022. When I started, I was at a career and personal low after career burnout, anxiety, and being on a performance improvement plan in a job I had no passion for. All I wanted was to get back into recruting and talent development. A Snow Removal company in Pittsburgh needed a Recruiter and I was available. Going into it, I was just hoping I still “had it” professionally. At the start, my confidence was shot. Thankfully, working in my passion led to some success which helped my confidence return. What I didn’t expect was growing to love an industry full of hard workers that do interesting and necessary work to keep people safe and needed properties open. I also discovered the power of employee engagement and my desire to create win/win workplaces, places where employees thrive by working in their strengths and company goals are exceeded While my full time career has taken me to other industries, my passion to see “Win/Win Workplaces” pop up in Snow and Landscape still lives.
