When a loved one needs treatment, families often wonder: Where do we start? What can we do? While you can’t make someone accept help, you can play a vital role in guiding them toward the right care and supporting their recovery journey. ?? Define your role – Decide what support you’re willing to provide and where you need to set boundaries. Will you research facilities, provide transportation, help navigate insurance, or offer sober housing after treatment? There’s no right or wrong—just clarity in expectations. ?? Share key information – Insights about substance use history, mental health, and family dynamics can help treatment professionals create the best care plan. ?? Engage with experts – Treatment Navigation professionals can help you identify the right program and level of care. ?? Get your own support – Groups like Al-Anon or working with a family case manager can help you navigate your experience of the process. Families don’t have to do this alone. JA Recovery provides expert guidance through Treatment Navigation & Consultation to help you make informed decisions and move forward with confidence. ?? Need help finding the right treatment? ?? Client Progress “She finally accepted her family’s loving gift of treatment.” It took nearly three months, but our client finally accepted her family's loving gift of treatment. It has been a journey filled with ups and downs – moments of hope intertwined with frustration and fear. Watching a loved one struggle with addiction can be incredibly challenging. The process of acknowledging the need for help, setting firm boundaries, and ultimately guiding their loved one towards treatment required unwavering faith, consistent support, and a delicate balance of love and firmness. Our client has now been engaged in treatment for two weeks and is starting to see how powerful this disease is; and what it takes to recover. Just as importantly, so does her family! As our founder, John, often says, intervention isn’t a one-time event—it’s an ongoing process. Keeping the door open for conversations and support makes all the difference. ?? Don’t walk out before the miracle happens. Learn more about intervention and family support at JARecovery.org. #ClientProgress #InterventionWorks #FamilySupport #RecoveryJourney #JARecovery

?? Relapse Prevention Tip The key to relapse prevention is self-awareness and honesty. Recognizing the early warning signs can make all the difference: ?? Thinking about using or fantasizing about past use. ?? Denying the need for support or avoiding your recovery network. ?? Reconnecting with people or places tied to substance use. ?? Engaging in “old behaviors” similar to those when using. ?? Stopping prescribed medications without medical advice. If you notice any of these signs, it’s time to reach out for support. Recovery is a process, and it’s okay to ask for help when you need it. ?? #RelapsePrevention #RecoveryJourney #SupportInRecovery #JARecovery
