Running is like sales: Requires diligence: you have to be tough and push through the negative thoughts Requires patience: sales and running require you to be patient. There’s some days that are just fantastic and others that you look in the mirror and wonder why am I doing this at all. Requires thoughtful recalibration: sale and running requires you to sit back after a tough day and realize it’s just that a tough day. Tomorrow will be better. Went for a run today and it was absolutely awful. 5 miles felt like 20. Wanted to throw my shoes away and thought for a second knowing tomorrow will be a better day. Roller coaster: sales and running are like an amusement park ride. The highs are so good and the dips suck. My message is simple. Stay strong, stay focused on the goal, remember you’re not winning every deal be grateful for those you do and understand those you don’t. Most importantly remember today is just that a day, a moment in time, tomorrow is your reset take advantage of it.
