At J.THOM we have a hard time using labels to define our signature kitchen design style. Even though some may describe us as taking a “modern classic” approach, all this label really means is that we love drawing from the past to mix with the new. Using a mix of historical elements, modern design, warmth and elegance, J.THOM is able to create spaces that are classic and chic - nostalgic yet fresh. With our state-of-the-art showroom located in the heart of Philadelphia J.THOM offers an all-encompassing kitchen and interior design experience to clients throughout the Philadelphia region. J.THOM was formed in 2011 by founder and design director Jason Thompson to service clients seeking superior, cost-effective luxury kitchen design, interior design, and custom cabinetry & materials paired with design and construction expertise not available from conventional cabinetry distributors, kitchen design firms, showrooms, or wholesalers. A complete remodel of this Wynnewood Home focused on creating traditional spaces with modern colors and materials and a touch of glamour. The centerpiece of the kitchen is the conservatory ceiling where the large iron chandelier and a custom copper hood give weight and scale to the roof lantern. The French blue cabinetry flows from the Kitchen into the dining room, where an antique mirror was added to the upper cabinets for richness and a little sparkle. The copper mosaic backsplash on the wet bar echoes the kitchen hood. The laundry and 2nd floor bedroom and bathroom continue this traditional yet glamourous design aesthetic.

We completed this vibrant home, designed for a dynamic young family, that reflects a playful mid-century modern aesthetic. The reimagined first floor boasts an open layout with a custom entry cubby and console leading to a color-drenched kitchen that’s perfect for their foodie lifestyle. On the second floor, the luxurious primary suite features wall-to-wall custom closets and a spa-inspired bath, alongside a guest suite, full bath, and home office. The fourth-floor bonus space was transformed into a stylish kitchenette and wet bar, complete with a rolling library ladder.
