PAGODA MOTORCYCLE PROJECT NEARING COMPLETION J. P. Mascaro & Sons announced it is nearing completion of the new 39-acre motorcross construction project situated in Amity Township off of Route 422 East. The project represents a partnership between Pioneer Crossing Landfill, MB Investments, all J. P. Mascaro & Sons business entities, and the Pagoda Motorcycle Club which dates back to 1945. The club is one of the most vibrant of its kind on the east coast. The new club is first class in every aspect, Director of Engineering, Ryan Inch stated. Our company spared no expense in the development and construction of the project. The club had been a good neighbor to our landfill for literally decades and we wanted to reciprocate by going the extra mile in the project. Pat Mascaro, President of Mascaro/Pioneer Crossing Landfill, stated contractually we were obligated to provide a twenty-acre property; however, we felt the goals of our company and the club warranted more acreage. The club showed goodwill over the years, and we felt obligated to show our appreciation by going the extra step. The club includes a fully equipped clubhouse, a pavilion, a concession stand with a scoring tower, maintenance shop, stands and the necessary actual racetracks. The facility is also equipped with a multitude of parking areas for participants, spectators, and recreational vehicle parking. The project is a classic illustration of J. P. Mascaro & Sons commitment to be a true friend in the community. #JPMascaroandSons, #PAGODAMOTORCYCLECLUB, #friendinthecommunity

CITY OF ALLENTOWN AWARDS J. P. MASCARO & SONS TRASH AND RECYCLABLES COLLECTION CONTRACT WITH POTENTIAL VALUE OF $180 MILLION On October 2, 2024, based on the recommendation of Mayor Matthew Tuerk and the City’s Administration, the Allentown City Council voted to approve a long-term contract award to local waste service company J. P. Mascaro & Sons for the collection of City residential waste and recyclables starting June 1, 2025. Mascaro received a Notice of Contract Award letter from the City on October 4, 2024. After submission of the required Contract Performance Bond by Mascaro and final review by City Departments, Mayor Tuerk signed the Contract on October 28, 2024. The five-year contract is valued at $90 million, and with two two-year extension options at the City’s discretion, the contract value is $180 million. Mascaro, a privately-owned local company, will perform the City contract from its Allentown operational division at 315 Basin Street, with 21 new collection vehicles and 60 new employees. As the low bidder, Mascaro was selected over the City’s current contractor, the largest publicly-owned waste company in the country. Allentown, the third largest City in Pennsylvania, with a population of more than 125,000 people, is situated in the heart of Lehigh County, where Mascaro operates a large service division. Mascaro is a major provider of contracted waste services for many municipalities in the Lehigh Valley region, and was recently awarded a five-year $23 million contract with Whitehall Township, which borders the City of Allentown. The Allentown contract is the largest municipal contract of its type in Pennsylvania, and the City has a well-earned reputation of having one of the most comprehensive and efficient waste collection and recycling programs in the country. Company President, Pat Mascaro, who attended the City Council Meeting with other company representatives at the time the contract was awarded, said, “Our company is thrilled to be able to serve the City and its residents, and we look forward to the June 2025 start date.” Mascaro added, “This contract is a natural for J. P. Mascaro & Sons because of our experience, business in the region, local infrastructure and resources.” Mascaro applauded the effort of his company team members who put together a comprehensive Bid Proposal and who participated in the evaluation process conducted by City representatives. “Everything about the proposal submittal they prepared was top-notch, and I am happy that their efforts resulted in a contract award,” said Mascaro. Under the contract, Mascaro will provide City residents with twice-a-week trash collection, once-a-week recyclables collection, twice-a-month yard waste collection, and one bulk item per week. #JPMascaro #allentownpa
