Tyson Quink, Huber has provided a total of $1 million in cash sponsorships to GSF programs and $1 million of HEW product donations benefitting 50 homes through GSF’s Restoring Independence Supporting Empowerment (R.I.S.E.) program.  “This thoughtfully designed space fosters my continued independence and transforms my daily life by providing greater mobility and accessibility. The immediate impact is genuinely life-changing for my entire family,” Quink shares.  The R.I.S.E program provides 100% mortgage free specially adapted smart homes to wounded heroes and their families who have sacrificed so much. To celebrate International Women’s Day, a selection of our Employee Resource Groups (ERGS) came together to host a panel themed “Accelerating Action: Stories of Career Growth and Allyship.” The discussion covered topics like overcoming challenges, career advice and the importance of the role of allyship, specifically centered around women in the manufacturing space. "As a woman in manufacturing, we often find ourselves as the only female in the room —which can be intimidating,” shares panelist melissa libby, Purchasing Manager at Huber Engineered Woods. “However, being in a room where you know you have the support of allies is empowering. Allies help create a more inclusive environment where women are encouraged to share their thoughts and experiences. This inclusivity fosters growth in culture throughout our organization." Thank you to Melissa and the rest of the panelists, Alexandra Huber-Weiss, Jessica Cheek, GPHR, Andrea Johnson-Hall and Douglas Smith, as well as our moderators Janet Dean and Michelle Mercurio. #IBelongAtHuber #InternationalWomensDay #CultureAndInclusion
