WORK HARD. PLAY HARD. GIVE BACK. This past week the J-W Power Company National Sales Meeting took place in The Colony, Texas. From all across the United States, the Sales Team came together for presentations, learning sessions, team building events, outings, giving back to the local community and helping to make an impact across the world. An afternoon was spent volunteering to help turn hunger into hope by packing nutritious meals for hungry children around the world. The meals packed will help feed kids, feed spirits and empower communities around the world. Working in teams, 105 boxes were packed which is equivalent to 22,680 meals which feeds 62 kids for a year. #feedmystarvingchildren One of our outings was at #AndrettiTheColony Congratulations to the Grand Final Winners! WHAT A REMARKABLE STORY! Damion P., one of our Compressor Technicians from the Longview, TX office, truly exemplified heroism during an unexpected crisis. While driving down I-20 West of Longview, TX, heading to a job location, he spotted a semi-trailer hauling bulls that was smoking and eventually caught fire. Without hesitation, Damion pulled in behind the truck, grabbed his power washer, and began dousing the trailer to protect the cattle inside. His quick actions helped prevent a terrible loss of life, and he continued to fight the flames until the fire department arrived to fully extinguish the fire. His quick thinking, decisive action and safety training really made a difference in a dire situation. Thanks to Damion and J-W Power Company equipment, all the cattle were saved. His bravery in the face of danger and commitment to helping others truly exemplify the spirit of community service. A huge shout-out to him for his selflessness and bravery—what an incredible ordeal!

One of J-W Power Company’s, Compressor Service Technician – Tory Coombes, spends his spare time volunteering as the Fire Captain for the Lefors Volunteer Fire Department in Lefors, TX. Lefors, TX is just 20 miles northwest of one of our field offices, located in Pampa, TX. Tory recognized a vital need for a truck that the local Fire Department could utilize as part of their essential daily routine. On May, 7, 2024, J-W Power Company was able to fulfill that need by donating a 4WD service truck, equipped with a crane and an air compressor. We are truly grateful for all of the First Responders and thankful for their dedication and service. We are delighted to show our support, see first-hand the impact it will have for this local community and be part of making a difference.
