Our Q1 2025 “Lending Climate in America” report highlights growing concerns among lenders regarding political uncertainty and the impact of post-election policy changes under the new administration in the US and abroad. In the report, lenders identify the industries they feel will experience the greatest volatility over the next six months, which actions they believe their customers have planned in 2025, and how they feel the US economy will perform over the next six months and beyond. The survey results also reveal whether lenders’ financial institutions plan to tighten, relax, or maintain their loan structures, as well as lenders’ beliefs on the direction and amount the Fed will move interest rates in the coming months. J.S. Held Chief Executive Officer Jon Held proudly announced today that he will transition to Executive Chairman of the Board, effective April 1, 2025. This transition is part of a planned succession that Jon has led, with President & COO Lee Spirer appointed to become President & CEO. “When we recruited Lee to join J.S. Held last year, he was brought in with this transition in mind. After working closely with him for the past several months, it is clear that Lee is the right fit to lead the company through our next phase of growth. I look forward to partnering with him to advance our mission and vision in support of all J.S. Held stakeholders – our team members, clients, and investors,” shared Jon. Severe convective storms have accounted for 70% of global insurance losses in recent years, and such losses continue to rise, largely due to growing exposure. These storms can occur in nearly all geographies, but their definitions differ from place to place.
