J.S. Held Chief Executive Officer Jon Held proudly announced today that he will transition to Executive Chairman of the Board, effective April 1, 2025. This transition is part of a planned succession that Jon has led, with President & COO Lee Spirer appointed to become President & CEO. “When we recruited Lee to join J.S. James E. Malackowski, CPA, CLP, Co-founder and Senior Managing Director of Ocean Tomo, a part of J.S. Held, served as damages expert for lululemon. Malackowski provided his opinion that damages for the '749 patent which the jury found infringed should be based on a cost savings analysis of $1.50 to $2.50 per pair of shoes required to switch to an alternative manufacturing method utilized by lululemon on non-accused shoes. Malackowski opined that these cost savings should be shared in the form of a reasonable royalty based on a well-respected list of fifteen patent licensing parameters. The jury awarded $1.20 per pair.
