With a passion for plumbing, steam, and gas pipefitting, David and his sons established D. Ahern & Son in 1880 in Fond du Lac, setting the foundation for the company we know today. At a time when indoor plumbing was still a luxury and heating technology was evolving, David saw the opportunity to bring essential services to a growing community. His commitment to quality craftsmanship and innovation helped shape Ahern’s legacy as an industry leader. Another Successful Women in Construction Week in the Books! At Ahern, our commitment to empowering women in construction extends far beyond WIC Week, but this past week was a great opportunity to celebrate the progress being made. This year’s WIC Week featured inspiring discussions on career growth, leadership, and overcoming industry challenges. Ahern is proud to have a higher percentage of women in our workforce than the national average, but we know there’s more work to do.
