When I started J-Bird, many of my client meetings took place in coffee shops, bouncing from one location to another while building this business from the ground up. It’s been an incredible journey of growth, perseverance, and community support. Today, I’m thrilled to announce that J-Bird is officially moving into its first-ever brick-and-mortar space at Base, Knoxville’s newest coworking space, developed by the talented Juliana Terra! Her innovative business model has not only provided an inspiring workspace but has also supported local entrepreneurs like myself in achieving new milestones. This isn’t just an office—it's a symbol of how far we’ve come. An official business address feels like a big step forward, and I couldn't be more excited about this new chapter! I had the pleasure of connecting with Samantha Lane, MBA, yesterday—a mentor and time management expert whose insights have been instrumental in elevating my business to new heights. This morning, she sent out an eblast packed with valuable time management tips, and I couldn’t help but reflect on the impact her teachings have had on me. One key takeaway from her BBOE group was the importance of identifying your Peak Performance Time—the part of the day when you’re at your mental best. Scheduling your most important and challenging tasks during this time can lead to more effective outcomes. For me, mornings are when I’m at my peak. I can’t recommend Samantha and Origami Day enough.
