Thanks to Acast's latest report, 'Podcasting Trends in Established vs. Emerging Markets,' we're able to extract 2 critical takeaways for us at JoneKiri that reflect what we've learned and continue to see in our industry: 1. Podcast ads continue to stand out amongst other audio channels more than ever before, especially as we continue to customize host-reads beyond pre-recorded :30/:60 radio spots. Our speciality is to think outside the box and go beyond simple scripts, tying the connection of why talent relate to the product that they're personally endorsing and helping their audience understand why the talent they choose to listen to are choosing the products that they enjoy. This helps to move audio down the funnel from brand awareness to at minimum, consideration of purchasing product, if not at least trialing. 2. YouTube had 3% share of our 300+ brand partnerships that we activated in 2023. This year alone, that number has risen to 12%, reflecting brands seeing results from the benefit of having a video simulcast element added to the audio plan, allowing for their products to be visually displayed (and especially interacted with), let alone having a clickable call to action.
