Research, research, research: use reliable third-party websites to find typical salaries for the position you’re applying for 2?? Redirect the question, and ask what budget they have instead of answering right away 3?? Offer a range: “With my experience and research, I’ll be looking for …” 4?? • Cheers to IxDF Gothenburg for hosting a fantastic meetup about such an important subject in UX ?????

?? A Great UX Event in Gothenburg! ?? I recently attended an amazing event hosted by IxDF Local Group Gothenburg, where we focused on Accessibility in UX. Our speaker, Arlet Estanyol, shared why accessibility should be a key part of design. She explained how disabilities can change over time and why testing for accessibility is so important. Her talk made it clear that good design includes everyone and that we, as designers, must take responsibility for it. One big lesson was that accessibility needs to be considered from the start. By using data, we can show why inclusive design matters and convince stakeholders to prioritize it. We also explored important frameworks and talked about how the European Accessibility Act (EAA) will impact businesses. Key Takeaways: ?? Accessibility isn’t optional. It should be part of every design decision. ?? Data makes a difference. Showing numbers helps get support from stakeholders. ?? POUR principles are key. Digital products should be Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust for all users. ?? New regulations are coming. The EAA will soon require businesses to follow stricter accessibility rules, so now is the time to prepare. On top of learning so much, this event was a great way to meet new people and reconnect with familiar faces in the UX community. A big thank you to IxDF Local Group Gothenburg(Tatiana Vasileva, Aycal Cagri Ozen) for organizing, And of course, a special thanks to Arlet Estanyol for sharing her knowledge! Let’s keep making digital experiences more inclusive! ???? IxDF - Interaction Design Foundation #ixdf #ixdflocalgroups #accessibility #a11y #ux #t12t

?? An exciting and inspiring first IxDF - Interaction Design Foundation UX Meetup in Heilbronn! As designers, we constantly create for others, but?yesterday’s meetup was all about designing for ourselves. The key question was: Why are we here today? To answer this, we dived into a fun and creative ???? ???????????????? ?????????????? ??????, where we mapped our motivations, pains, needs, and expectations—and brought them to life by creating and sketching ?? our own UX Personas! It was a valuable moment to get to know each other better and start gathering opportunities to ?????????? ?????? ???????????? ??????????????. Here's a glimpse of our Personas: ???? Nathan Network 28-year-old UX designer working at a design agency in Munich. Creative, open-minded, and loves to connect. Struggles to stay up-to-date with industry standards and often clashes with non-designers. Joined the meetup to discuss how to take his UX career to the next level. ?? Peter (Parker) 30-year-old UX designer, originally from NYC, now living in Germany. Hates wasting time in long, never-ending presentations. Loves free beer, meeting new people, and staying updated on the latest UX trends. ?? Kim Gamer 29-year-old UX/UI designer, gamer, based in Heilbronn. Feels the lack of networking opportunities with fellow designers. Takes his work seriously and enjoys debating open and unresolved UX questions. Joined the meetup to grow professionally and learn from more experienced designers. A huge thank you to everyone who joined, got involved, and shared a piece of their personal and professional journey. Special thanks to Mariia for supporting all the activities and to Campus Founders for hosting us. Looking forward to the next meetup! ?? Tassilo Orson Mariia Alexander Carla Nicole
