Early Charm and The LaunchPort are pleased to sponsor Monneah’s Engineered Materials' event to raise awareness in safety compliance and the importance of PPE in safety operations. The program is specifically intended for smaller biotech, hardtech and manufacturing company employees to network around safety. We certainly welcome those from larger organizations and with a lot more experience to come share that experience. Too often I hear from startup execs that they hired people with strong science backgrounds from a university so surely those people will be safe because they understand what they are doing. I wish safety were that easy. Come learn more. We made it free so there's no excuse. https://lnkd.in/e43kzrQ8 Tuesday Sept 24 4-7 Perfect for tenants of Open Works Baltimore, The LaunchPort, bwtech@UMBC Research and Technology Park, BioPark, FastForward Robert Storey Mark VanderZyl Will Holman Marjie Cota Josh Ambrose Want to contribute your expertise or help sponsor, reach out to the organizer, Aalliyeh Clinton - shown below sporting her fancy lab coat she's developing for increased comfort and SAFETY

August is National Black Business Month, a time to celebrate and support Black entrepreneurs. Today, we're spotlighting The Creative Representation Empire Founded by Naomi Winston an innovative organization dedicated to empowering K-12 students through creative education. They're kicking off an exciting PAID pilot program for the 2024-2025 school year, inviting schools, nonprofits, and youth organizations to participate. The pilot will feature six books from their collection, focusing on vital topics like financial literacy, history, goal setting and affirmations, and finding community. Participating partners will benefit from a $75 stipend each semester to cover creative materials, a $150 VISA gift card upon program completion, and a "classroom" set of coloring books for their youth. This is a fantastic opportunity for K-12 organizations nationwide to enrich their educational offerings.
