July is by far one of the busiest months for our team! We get invited to partner with many of our campuses, along with conducting Leadership Academy interviews (50 interviewees this year), taking some vacation time and then…one of our favorite things…kicking off our Faculty Development Program! Our Talent Development team (plus one amazing alumni of our programs) utilized our service hours today in the HEAT at the Boys and Girls Club in Noblesville, IN. This was in partnership with United Way of Central Indiana for Go All In Day! This week our team took the opportunity to slow down a bit and to take advantage of some great food and socializing! We went to Courses to enjoy the incredible food and to support the students. And Leighann Rechtin, EdD was able to join a group from Systems office to attend the Culinary Crossroads event. What’s a better way to bond than over delicious sustainance? We also facilitated a few team engagements and workshops. Were you able to participate with us?

To state that we are proud of the most recent graduates of Leadership Academy at Ivy Tech is an understatement. They raised the bar to heights that are incomparable!! Their final project presentations were not only well planned and prepared, they were genuinely enthusiastic and passionate about them! Thank you…each one of you…for having the growth mindsets and energy you do, and for bringing that with you each session. Our team is confident that these solutions will be implemented, even though the official program has concluded, because this group is THAT tenacious to make sure it happens! The care, compassion, and engagement exhibited over the past 8 months was highly concentrated over the past two days during their final session. We will miss them all being together, but know we’ll get to continue to work with them in other ways at the college.
