Truly a great honor to be nominated by TechPoint for the Mira Awards and represent Ivy Tech Community College in the Community Impact category. The Ivy+ IT Academy at Ivy Tech has had such a huge impact across the entire state by having over 2616 enrollments, in just a single year. The Ivy+ IT Academy is where Hoosiers can learn high demand IT skills from Google and @CompTIA .....for free!! If we are going to grow the tech ecosystem in Indiana and ensure all of our communities have the necessary IT and digital skills to support and scale growing businesses and the State's economy, it isn't going to happen with just a few people getting outlandishly expensive degrees. It is going to happen by having thousands of Hoosiers start their IT journey at Ivy Tech. By skilling up on the IT skills needed in the modern world, we are building the future of Indiana today.
