IVY Engineering Group had the pleasure of setting up an insightful site tour for Columbia University Civil Engineering & Engineering Mechanics students pursuing their Master’s in Construction Management. A big thank you to NYC Department of Design and Construction’s Associate Commissioner, Joseph Lione, P.E., for joining us and sharing his expertise during our on-the-ground look at the East Side Coastal Resiliency (ESCR) and Brooklyn Bridge-Montgomery Coastal Resilience (BMCR) projects. ?? The tour provided a unique opportunity to witness firsthand how these major initiatives are shaping New York City's future, enhancing coastal resilience, and protecting communities. We all left with a deeper appreciation for the engineering solutions driving sustainable urban development. STV is providing construction management services for Amtrak’s East River Tunnel (ERT) Rehabilitation project in partnership with Naik Consulting Group, PC. Part of the Northeast Corridor — the busiest passenger rail line in the U.S. — the ERT sustained significant damage from Superstorm Sandy.
