Have you or someone you know suffered the trauma of an IV extravasation injury? The pain and long-term impacts, both physically and emotionally, are unacceptable. Your story has the power to bring change and protect others. At ivWatch, we develop continuous IV monitoring technology to detect when fluid is leaking into the tissue instead of the vein before damage occurs. As a survivor or healthcare professional, your insight is crucial to our mission. By sharing your experience, you can help prevent others from suffering. Don't let your story go unheard. Together, we can create a future free from severe IV extravasation injuries. DM us so we can connect with you. #WorldPatientSafetyDay #PatientSafety #StopIVHarm
关于我们
ivWatch, LLC is a medical device and biosensor company focused on improving the safety and effectiveness of intravenous (IV) therapy. IV therapy is a basic yet critical component of care in hospital and outpatient settings, but it has a high failure rate. Continuous monitors exist to keep track of patients’ heart and blood oxygen levels. Until now, no technology has been available to continuously monitor the health of a patient’s IV site, and whether drugs or fluids are being delivered through the vein or leaking into the tissue. The ivWatch Model 400 is an FDA-cleared device to help clinicians monitor the status of a patient’s IV to aid in the early detection of peripheral IV infiltrations and extravasations. Through the use of non-invasive sensor technology, the ivWatch Model 400 can help reduce potentially serious medication dosing errors and associated patient harm from infiltration events. ivWatch is transforming IV therapy by improving patient care and safety and offering health care providers a much-needed, reliable and cost-effective solution for continuously monitoring peripheral IVs.

Routine checks are CLEARLY not enough. In between hourly checks, this baby boy had an IV infiltrate in his foot that caused large blisters and open wounds along his heel. These severe injuries are preventable with early IV extravasation detection technology. Learn more to safeguard your patients: https://lnkd.in/eahMrbcp

Vesicant drugs with high or low pH levels can be extremely dangerous when administered through a peripheral IV. Imagine putting soda into your vein or even worse stomach acid and bleach. When these vesicants infiltrate, patients are at risk for severe injuries, even in the smallest amounts of fluid. Hourly checks are simply not enough. A lot can happen to your patients' IV in the 59 other minutes when you are not able to have eyes on the IV site. ivWatch technology acts as a second set of eyes, often detecting extravasations before any clinical signs or symptoms appear. ? ivWatch technology ???????????????????????? ???????????????? ???? ?????????? ???? ?????? ?????????????for IV fluid that shows up outside of the vessel. ? ?????????????? ?????????? ???? ???? ???????????? ???? ??.????????, which is far beyond the capability of the human eye. ?
