Her deep knowledge of assistance programs and tireless work writing grants to support patients further highlight her dedication. As stated in her nomination letter, “The most impressive thing about Cindy is her servant's heart. She is a wonderful example to all of us in the Cancer Center and at Ivinson Memorial Hospital. We had a fantastic time at our Family BBQ this week, where Ivinson employees and their loved ones gathered for good food and great company. This year’s event was extra special as we served locally sourced beef from 9H Ranch for the first time, highlighting our new partnership with Feeding Laramie Valley to support local producers. We are deeply grateful to the Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative for their generous grant, which allowed us to raise awareness about the importance of scheduling your annual mammogram. Ivinson Memorial Hospital and Children’s Hospital Colorado have formed a Care Alliance to bring specialized neonatal and pediatric care to Laramie. This collaboration ensures local access to top pediatric specialists, including 24/7 care from neonatal nurse practitioners. Last month, Dr. Derek Ewell performed Laramie and Ivinson’s first Sacrocolpopexy, a minimally-invasive surgery that utilizes the DaVinci surgical robot. Sacrocolpopexy is the most durable surgical option to correct prolapse in patients who have had a hysterectomy. Previously, patients needing this type of surgical intervention were referred to Colorado.
