On February 4, 2025, IVECA proudly hosted the 2025 UN ECOSOC Partnership Forum Parallel Event at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Sponsored by the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations and Portugal to the United Nations, this event titled “Inclusive Partnerships & Digital Global Citizenship Education: Advancing Social Cohesion for a Sustainable Future,” was co-organized by Global NGO Executive Committee (GNEC) and the Conference of NGOs in Consultative Relationship with the United Nations (CoNGO).? It successfully brought together expert panelists, educators, youth mentors, and students worldwide. I am extremely honored to share that On February 4, 2025, I volunteered at the 2025 UN ECOSOC Partnership Forum Parallel Event at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, Trusteeship Council Chamber, hosted by IVECA. Sponsored by the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations and Portugal to the United Nations, this event titled “Inclusive Partnerships & Digital Global Citizenship Education: Advancing Social Cohesion for a Sustainable Future,” was co-organized by the Global NGO Executive Committee (GNEC) and the Conference of NGOs in Consultative Relationship with the United Nations (CoNGO).? It successfully brought together expert panelists, educators, youth mentors, and students worldwide. Through insightful discussions, participants explored the transformative role of digitally facilitated global citizenship education in strengthening social cohesion and driving sustainable development. It was an incredible experience for me to be there to witness youth projects and academicians' contributions to a better sustainable future. I was pleased to be on the event’s preparation team. Working with NGO volunteers, escorting youth delegates, supporting the event's logistics, and assisting with setup and teardown operations in the Trusteeship Council Chamber (TCC) of the United Nations, coordinating UN event entrance passes for esteemed participants and ensuring smooth operations for such a significant gathering was truly an honor. I would like specifically thank to IVECA International Virtual Schooling, Dr. Eunhee Jung, Ph.D., Miss Alexa Weis and everyone for making this event possible. I also want to express my gratitude to Professor Rev. Brian Muzas for providing me with this incredible opportunity and for his impressive speech on the panel. This experience brought invaluable insights into the role of multi-stakeholder partnerships, global citizenship education (GCED), and intercultural collaboration in fostering social cohesion and sustainable development. Ambassadors and expert panelists shared insights on the importance of inclusive partnerships, while students presented innovative solutions addressing real-world challenges. A key takeaway was the urgent need for inclusive partnerships and digital learning to equip youth with the knowledge, skills, and ethical responsibility to drive change. Students shared real-world solutions aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), reinforcing the power of youth-driven initiatives in shaping a more just and sustainable world. As Rev. Over the course of several months, Daeshin and Seoil high school students from Daejeon, South Korea took part in IVECA’s Global Youth Mentorship Program, collaborating with university student mentors in the United States on the exploration of expansionism in national development and identities. Through classroom research and virtual guidance from their mentors, students explored how historical imperialism and expansionism have shaped modern challenges related to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), proposing innovative solutions to drive positive change for the future. ?? ???? ?? ?? Climate change is a global issue, largely driven by human activities such as burning fossil fuels and deforestation. A partnership between two schools from India and the United States allowed the opportunity for students to research how climate change affects their countries and what they can do to help.
