Congratulations Timothy!
Congratulations to Chancellor's Medallion Scholarship recipient Timothy Jerome Bryant! Timothy is a senior majoring in accounting in the IU Southeast School of Business. He is a US Air Force Veteran who served as a Missile and Space Systems technician and was eventually promoted to an Air Force instructor until he was medically discharged. Immediately after service, Timothy worked as a specialist for the Disabled Veteran Outreach Program. In this role, he helped Veterans overcome barriers to employment such as homelessness, troubled backgrounds, and disabilities to obtain suitable and sustainable employment. After assisting veterans for several years, Timothy took his advice and pursued a college career. He is now a father and strives to leave a legacy for his son to follow. After graduation, he plans to become an accountant and hopes to land a position with a local firm.

??Congratulations to Jadrian Morris, one our our eight Medallion Scholarship recipients! ?? Jadrian is a senior who will graduate in December with a bachelor’s degree in business and a concentration in accounting. She is an alumna of Floyd Central High School. While at IU Southeast, Jadrian worked as a receptionist in the Multicultural Student Center, fostering cultural awareness and inclusivity. She served as a tutor for business algebra, psychology, and economics, helping students succeed academically. Jadrian was also a supplemental instructor for her business algebra professor. Jadrian’s leadership and academic excellence extended to her active participation in campus organizations, including the Accounting and Finance Club, Creativity Club, and Marketing Club. As a member of the Honors Program since her sophomore year, she showcased her research at the IU Southeast Undergraduate Research Conference. Additionally, she dedicated two years to serving as a Senator for the Student Government Association, where she contributed to enhancing student life. Off-campus, Jadrian gained valuable professional experience as a finance and accounting intern at Humana, where she honed her skills in a corporate environment. Looking ahead, she plans to pursue her MBA at IU Southeast and aims to earn her CPA license to advance her career in accounting and finance. Today, we’re celebrating Brittany Gebby, our amazing Sales & Marketing Coordinator, as she wraps up her last day of college at Indiana University Southeast! ?? Not only is she earning her bachelor’s degree with a double major in Marketing & Professional Selling (plus minors in Business Analytics and Economics), but she’s also leaving her mark as the President of the Marketing Club, which she successfully established post-COVID in 2020. ?? With a 3.5 GPA, Brittany has proven her grit in the classroom—and on the competition stage! ??Congratulations to Chancellor's Medallion Scholarship recipient Jenna Rogers!?? A Sellersburg native, Jenna is a business student pursuing dual degrees in marketing and professional sales with plans to graduate in December. Currently, Jenna works at One Southern Indiana (1si) Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development as the Membership Coordinator Intern. On campus Jenna has been involved in Greek Life, the Honors Program, and intramural sports. She enjoys participating in School of Business excursions, attending economic development and networking events. Her post-graduation plans include becoming a business leader who can make a positive impact on the place she calls home. She would like to travel the world and experience new things, but will always want to come back to Southern Indiana. Jenna is passionate about community development and giving back to the people who helped raise her. Future plans will include returning to IU Southeast to earn an MBA. Nationally-known entrepreneur Chase Slepak will be the keynote speaker at “The Next Big Thing Pitch Competition” on Wednesday, November 20 at 6:00 p.m. Presented by Novaparke, the event will be held in the IU Southeast Hoosier Room (inside of University Center North) and is FREE to attend. Chase Slepak launched his first businesses in his late teens and early twenties. Baird is Senior Lecturer in Economics at Indiana University Southeast, teaching classes in economics, entrepreneurship and business, and serving on a number of University committees.?He is also managing partner of a for-profit business with annual sales exceeding $1.6 million, and a faith-based nonprofit training and leadership organization.?In addition, he teaches two personal finance courses through?a homeschool co-op.?He holds a dual B.S.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Louisville; an M.B.A. from Northern Kentucky University; has completed coursework with a thesis outstanding toward an M.A. from the University of Louisville; and is a Quality Matters Certified Master Reviewer.
