IU Launch Accelerator for Biosciences (IU LAB)转发了
The IU Launch Accelerator for Biosciences (IU LAB) is where academia meets industry, driving discovery, innovation, and the commercialization of new therapeutics, diagnostics, and devices to improve human health. We are harnessing Indiana University Research's nearly $1 billion research enterprise and Indiana’s $95 billion annual life science economy to become a national leader in bioscience innovation. Engaging with industry, entrepreneurs, and venture capitalists is critical to our mission. We will deepen relationships with key partners across the city, state, and beyond that will help us discover the next innovation, commercialize the next product, and train the state’s life science leaders of the future – ultimately driving both societal and economic impact right here in Indiana. IU LAB will be Indiana University’s front door to industry, with several functions focused on driving research and development with key partners:? -?In the IU LAB Bio Start-Up Center, we will support entrepreneurs launching new companies, products and services with training, incubation with a pre-accelerator and accelerator, and networking. -?The Public-Private Partnerships Center will collaborate with IU’s SciTech Institutes to host local, state and national collaborations with faculty and industry representatives to pursue novel scientific inquiries, commercialize new products, and facilitate industry engagement with researchers and students. -?Developing new technologies, genomics and translational biomarkers to drive the growth of precision medicine in Indiana and beyond is the focus of the Joint Center for Excellence for Point of Care Precision Medicine in partnership with the Indiana Biosciences Research Institute and the Indiana University School of Medicine. -?Companies and entrepreneurs in the life sciences will work through the Translational Bio Center to test their discoveries and perform key translational activities through in vitro and in vivo screening and preclinical studies. IU President Pamela Whitten and I recently had the opportunity to talk to Gerry Dick about IU LAB and IU Indianapolis’ R1 designation. There is so much excitement here at IU for collaboration with students, faculty, researchers, entrepreneurs, start-ups and industry partners to drive bioscience innovation that improves human health. ? Let’s work together to change our state – and world – for the better.
