By engaging with fans in their native languages, Australian media is not only catering to a core demographic but also recognising the broader role of cricket as a bridge between cultures. Cricket teams across the globe including the Middle East have had Indian-origin representation. And as Indian migration expands to regions where cricket has traditionally been a niche sport, the growing diaspora will drive the demand to experience the game. 2024 has been pivotal, with the official news of the sport being included in the LA 2028 Summer Olympics and the T20I World Cup held in the USA marking a significant leap in the sport’s journey towards globalization.
