Ok 2024, We See You! And 2025, we like where this is headed… Thrilled to read we are a Forbes Top Four Startup Shaping 2025 And just before that: We closed an oversubscribed Seed round led by Failup Ventures and Uber. We were awarded curbside for The City of Boston. We announced our next cities; LA, SF, Alameda, Jersey City, Yonkers, and Detroit (with more coming). We won The Keeling Curve Prize and were awarded grant funding from the Earthshot Prize; from Uptake Alliance and NYSERDA; and from Michigan Central's Scale Fund. We were named Emerging Company of the Year by ACT | The Alliance for Climate Transition. We were recognized as a Inc. Magazine Best In Business winner; and Tiya Gordon was given the Inaugural Fin-Erth 100 Women in Climate Award. Our leadership hit 80% women (and went warp speed 9) when we brought in our newest Director Iben Falconer and welcomed (um, rockstar) Stephanie Hannon to our Board. We certified our hardware and are the only certified detachable cable solution in North America. Davos > Dervos! We were invited to present our work and panel across the globe including at Aspen Energy Week, MIT Mobility Initiative Vision Day, Verge, Newlab Pilot Showcase, Dervos, and at the annual meetings for The Urban Land Institute and The World Economic Forum in Davos. In the news! We got the story of what we are building out there and were covered by Forbes, Fortune, WSJ, Fast Company, Inc, Motortrend, Designboom, MSN, Business Insider, The NY Post, Canary Media, Techbrew, and last but not least David Roberts, Volts! Sea to shining sea!? We announced our partnership with the Trust for Governors Island and partnered with Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI) to deploy chargers across Los Angeles’ Zero Emisssions Delivery Zone. Action into law! Our Equitable EV charging Act was signed into law! Thanks to this new law, municipalities throughout California will start planning for #curbsidecharging. We enshrined the work of the Joint Office of Energy and Transportation And kicked off our $1.5M Ride & Drive grant;? 4 Cities, 60 Chargers, 80 EVSE Technicians, and hundreds of drivers. With gratitude, grit, and endless ambition for the year ahead. -it's electric

it's electric has been named as one of the products that will define technological innovation for the rest of this decade and beyond. A public charging solution to address the infrastructural and environmental justice barriers cities face in the deployment of electric vehicle charging. Instead of requiring costly and time consuming new utility connections, it's electric’s Level-2 charging posts connect behind-the-meter to draw spare electrical supply from adjacent buildings; allowing them to install at zero cost to property owners or cities. it's electric then shares revenue earned at each charger with the property owners bringing clean transportation infrastructure and the benefits of the green economy into all neighborhoods. With a critical focus on frontline and Justice 40 or disadvantaged communities. it’s electric is bringing affordable, equitable, curbside, EV charging to the millions of city drivers across the United States who cannot charge at home as they park their cars on the street.

We're thrilled to work with? The City of Portland?and our partners?Forth Mobility, it's electric, Lime and Portland State University?to bring charging for personal electric vehicles (EVs) and shared-use electric fleets via Zipcar, e-scooters and e-bikes. These hubs will make it easier for Portlanders, especially those who cannot charge at home, to access shared electric charging and transportation options. https://lnkd.in/ec-Hyrpz
Funding award news: Meet the 25 Communities Taking Charge projects aiming to further connect and scale the electric transportation ecosystem! ?? We’re taking the momentum of public charging station growth and building on it—the Joint Office of Energy and Transportation has awarded $43.7 million to 25 projects in 23 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico that further connect and scale zero-emission transportation infrastructure. ?? From using lampposts to create more L2 chargers, ? to a unique public charging model in which a utility will install EV charging equipment at multifamily housing complexes, ?? the projects awarded are mapped on our site ??? across the three areas the funding aims to address: https://lnkd.in/gxNfHmhe

Friday can’t stop, won’t stop post! it's electric was awarded a staggering 3 of the 10 Communities Taking Charge Funding Awards as a sub-recipient “Solving for “No-Home Charging.” These awards are administered by the Joint Office of Energy and Transportation through the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Award #1: Working with WXY (who wrote the bible for curbside charging) to develop permitting pathways to help cities easily achieve charging in the public right of way here in NYC and beyond. ($1.5M) Award #2: Working with the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI) and our friends at Automotus, Cityfi and ChargerHelp! to launch LACI’s second City Climate Innovation Challenge to expand charging options in up to 9 cities. ($3M) Award #3:? Working with the City of Portland, Zipcar, Lime, and Forth to pilot E-mobility hubs, making it easier for Portlanders who cannot charge at home to have access to convenient and affordable overnight charging for personal vehicles (or shared Zipcars!) ($1.7M) Let’s go. Let’s GO. LET’S GO!

Hey D.C.! We like your curbs (your buildings too!) it's electric has been awarded $2.2M to deploy CURBSIDE charging in partnership with the Department of Energy & Environment (DOEE) as part of their incredible $15M in federal funding to dramatically expand the District's public EV charging infrastructure. Live in D.C.? Own a home or building in Wards 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8? Sign up for a free curbside charger that earns you revenue. www.itselectric.us/join A note: Our hearts are with Los Angeles. While it’s long been established that climate change vastly impacts wildfires, we continue to witness in real time the human suffering and displacement that results. Climate action is needed at a speed that is daunting and the transportation sector is one of the largest contributors to U.S. greenhouse gas emissions. We need more bikes, more public transit and more shared transportation. We also need everything to be electric. We are grateful for this funding from the Biden-Harris Administration’s #BipartisanInfrastructureLaw that supports President Biden’s goal to build a network of 500,000 publicly available #EVchargers – a goal the Federal Highway Administration is on track to accomplish years early. And not a moment too soon.

Trump is moving in to the White House on Monday, what strategies are cleantech companies employing to navigate his expected cuts to green grants and incentives? Watch my full length Forbes interview with Nathan L. King, CEO & Co-founder of it's electric below, here are some highlights: Leveraging Momentum and Locked-In Funding: Nathan acknowledges that much of the current infrastructure funding and subsidies are already allocated and difficult to reverse. While the incoming administration may slow the distribution of funds or create challenges, the overall industry momentum is expected to persist. Developing a Sustainable Business Model: It's Electric is focused on proving a sound business model that doesn’t rely entirely on subsidies. While subsidies have been useful for their initial growth, their long-term strategy is built on sustainable unit economics. Riding the Broader Electrification Trend: The company is optimistic about the growing adoption of clean energy solutions, viewing electrification as inherently superior technology. This broad acceptance, driven by practical benefits, helps create resilience against potential policy shifts. ?? Find this valuable? Repost to help others. If you too are curious to learn how we can achieve net zero by 2050, follow me to read about the latest insights, innovations and interviews with the people that will get us there. #Sustainability #CleanTech #MobilityInnovation #FutureOfTransportation

Incredibly excited for these diverse CFI grants with $368m for 42 community projects and $268m for state long-haul initiatives. So many amazing projects from local curbside charging to medium/heavy duty charging, hydrogen fueling and everything in between. Props to the Federal Highway Administration and Joint Office of Energy and Transportation teams for hard work on these generational investments for the American people.
