Green and Sustainable Chemistry: The team will identify best practices, compile resources on regulations, and develop a framework linking green chemistry, materials management, and circularity for toxic chemicals. This team will be led by Mimi Johnson and we are seeking an additional team leader! ?? Sustainable Management of Waste from Energy Resources: This project will address managing waste from energy production sources, both emerging and legacy waste streams, with a focus on renewable energy sources. This team will be led by Jessica Rayfield and Shannon Suggs. ?? Underwater Munitions: The project will focus on advancing science, technology, and guidance for detecting, classifying, characterizing, recovering, and disposing of underwater munitions and explosives of concern (MEC). In October 2024, ITRC had the privilege of delivering Soil Background & Risk Assessment training courses for ALGA attendees in Australia and New Zealand. With over 160 participants spanning consultants, regulators, academia, contractors, and property owners, the sessions provided valuable insights for professionals at all levels.
