This Last Week at IT Outlet: Last week was eventful and photo-worthy! On Wednesday, we hosted our friends from Datadobi for a product showcase, 'The Boys' proudly took 2nd place at the 2024 Chamber Golf Tournament, and we wrapped up the week with our monthly potluck. It was a 'Back-to-School' theme consisting of Tony's frozen pizzas, hotdogs, and applesauce.

It's National IT Professionals Day, which we take pretty serious around here at IT Outlet. We celebrated with our tech team at our Brandon site by bringing in lunch from The Gruff Plates + Pours. Thanks for being apart of the team!!!

This week @ IT Outlet, our friends from RUCKUS Networks joined us! Had a pleasure taking time to learn about their products, how they are innovating and leading the space, and how to continue to grow our partnership. Thank you Jiten Gori & Adam Keys for making the trip to the Nerd HQ

This year, we had the distinct privilege of supporting 58 dedicated teachers by providing them with the items they needed for their classrooms. Over the course of the week, nearly every one of them made the trip to our Headquarters, giving us the opportunity to put faces to names, learn more about the schools they serve, and allow them to get to know us here at IT Outlet. What struck me most was the variety of people who walked through our doors—husbands picking up the goodies, children and babies in tow, parents and step-parents, siblings, and even a beautiful dog who came along for the ride. We met first-year educators, full of enthusiasm, and seasoned teachers with over a decade of experience. As different as each story and each background was, there was one thing that tied everyone together: true and unmistakable gratitude. I’m just the marketing guy here at IT Outlet, but this past week has filled my cup to the brim. The generosity of our owners, who made this possible, everyone involved behind the scenes here, combined with the gratitude of the teachers who received these supplies, has left me with a renewed sense of hope. In a time when the world can feel divided and challenging, these interactions have reminded me that there is so much good happening around us—good that we all have the power to create, in big ways and small. A little perspective: In 2022, South Dakota had 145,726 students spread across 714 schools in 169 school districts. There were 10,699 teachers serving those students, giving us a ratio of about one teacher for every 14 students, slightly better than the national average. Out of those nearly 11,000 teachers, around 2,000 work in or around the Sioux Falls area. Reaching 58 of them might seem like a drop in the bucket, but to each of those teachers—and their students—we can only hope it's meaningful. At IT Outlet, we’re proud of what we’ve accomplished this year, but we know there is still more to be done. Our goal isn’t just to donate supplies; it’s to encourage anyone who can, whether businesses or individuals, to assist our educators. These teachers are shaping the next generation, and by equipping them with the tools they need, we’re helping to ensure a brighter future for everyone. If there’s one thing we can ask after this week, it’s that more of us step up, even in small ways, to support the teachers in our communities. Their dedication is constant, their impact is immeasurable, and with just a little help, they can continue to lead and inspire the next generation.
