I attended my Mentor appreciation event last night celebrating the 110 mentors with the Take Stock in Children-Seminole. I am truly honored, grateful and thankful to have been chosen the 2024 Mentor of the Year. I’m a proud mentor of 23 years with this amazing program. ? Take Stock in Children-Seminole offers deserving, low-income students a chance to escape the cycle of poverty through education. We offer our students college scholarships, caring volunteer mentors and hope for a better life. Students are selected in 8th?grade and receive comprehensive services throughout high school and as they transition to college with a 2-year Florida Prepaid Scholarship. Do you have 30 minutes of your day once a week to change a young person’s life? The program is always looking for mentors. If you are in interested and live in Seminole County, Florida please let me know.
