?? Fall is Here—And Our Little Scientists Are Ready! ???? The fall season has arrived, and our kindergarteners are all geared up for it! As we prepare for our upcoming trip to the apple orchard, our young learners have put on their white coats and transformed into little scientists. For the past two weeks, they’ve been immersed in the wonderful world of apples and pumpkins—learning, exploring, and discovering all the amazing things these fall favorites have to offer. This week in science, they had an absolute blast dissecting pumpkins and apples! There was laughter, curiosity, and a lot of hands-on fun as they explored seeds, textures, and all the interesting parts of these fruits. ??? Meet Our School Social Worker: Ms. Locke! At ITAV Leadership Academy, we are committed to supporting our students both academically and emotionally. That's where our wonderful School Social Worker, Ms. Locke, comes in! Ms. Locke is here to ensure that every student receives the social-emotional support they need to thrive in and out of the classroom. Each week, Ms. Locke facilitates?Social-Emotional Learning (SEL)?classes for every grade level, helping students develop skills like self-awareness, emotional regulation, and positive relationships. In addition to her SEL classes, Ms. Locke is the go-to person for students with exceptionalities and special needs, providing them with individualized support and care. Her compassionate approach and dedication to our students' well-being make her an invaluable part of our ITAV family. We are beyond excited to announce that ITAV has successfully closed on?New Market Tax Credits (NMTC), bringing in?$2.1 million?to invest in our 8.1-acre campus! Thanks to this funding, we’ve been able to upgrade plumbing, completely renovate our bathrooms and kitchen, and make numerous other improvements to our main building.
