Thanks to everyone who attended the “Catalyzing Civic Leadership: What’s Next for Our Region” event at Union Depot. The Itasca Project announced that Steve Grove, CEO and publisher of The Minnesota Star Tribune, will become its chair effective January 2025. Grove, who serves on Itasca’s?executive?leadership council,?will succeed John Naylor, recently retired president and CEO of Medica. “Itasca has become a national model for collaboration across business, nonprofit, philanthropy, education and public sectors,” Grove said. “I’m pleased to help the new team grow the impact of this work at such an important time for Minnesota.” https://hubs.li/Q02Vn3vB0

This senior leader?will play a central role in driving cross-sector collaboration across the region’s economy and fostering a more robust and diverse ecosystem of civic leadership in MSP. This senior leader will also shape and communicate the overall direction of the?Itasca Project (integrated with the GREATER MSP Partnership in 2022), oversee its annual work plans, lead development efforts and leverage opportunities to align with other priorities across the GREATER MSP Partnership.
